  • Automate content publication within or across SharePoint farms to optimize content lifecycle management
  • Ensure optimal performance and content availability to enhance global collaboration initiatives by replicating content, configurations, and security settings to geographically distributed farms
  • Enhance SharePoint service quality and resiliency against WAN/service failure with customizable controls to optimize bandwidth usage for unreliable network connections, or offline replication to ensure global farms remain synchronized regardless of available network resources

All Microsoft, All the Way

As with all AvePoint software, DocAve Replicator utilizes only fully supported Microsoft methodologies and APIs.

DocAve Replicator Business Case

As enterprises seek to gain a competitive advantage in the global marketplace, reliable access to current SharePoint assets across geographically distributed work places is vital. Data and settings often need to be moved, replicated, and synchronized among sites within locations or even between offices – and all this needs to be done without changing metadata, properties, or security settings.

Business Advantages for Microsoft SharePoint Replication

  • Effective, Real-time Global Collaboration Across Geo-distributed Locations

Ensure optimal performance and content availability for end users to seamlessly collaborate by replicating content, configurations, workflow history and security settings to geographically distributed farms

  • Automate Site and Content Publication

Automate content publication within or across SharePoint farms to streamline content lifecycle management

  • Conflict-free Synchronization

Synchronize critical SharePoint content, configurations, security, and user settings across local or globally distributed environments via a centralized, highly intuitive management console

  • Control Bandwidth and Network Traffic

Control performance and network traffic, empowering you to manage SharePoint replication even over slow connections. These include full content or byte-level replication; flexible scheduling; data compression; and advanced network control settings

  • Delegate Replication Plan Management to Optimize Operational Efficiency

Delegate replication plan management to site collection owners or individual content owners directly, minimizing the burden on IT staff. Allow content owners to update document properties before the content is replicated, ensuring replicated content is up to date and evolving information classification requirements can be easily implemented.

  • Securely Replicate Data between Farms

Offline replication mode allows for replication to a local or network drive, which can later be physically transported to another location, and imported to a secure environment. Offline replication prevents organizations from having to open up extra ports in firewalls, mitigating security threats.

DocAve Replicator Technical Overview

  • Synchronize content within a single SharePoint environment or across multiple geo-distributed farms, including Office 365 - SharePoint Online sites, to seamlessly manage multiple on-premise and hybrid SharePoint environments via a centralized management console
  • Replicate entire site collections or individual items, automating content selection based on customizable business rules to streamline content publishing within or across environments – including extranets hosted on-premises or in Office 365 SharePoint Online
  • Keep SharePoint content synchronized across farms with one- or two-way replication, utilizing customizable rules to resolve any conflicts
  • Perform live, real-time replication based on customizable event triggers (including item update, deletion, and check-in) or perform scheduled replications as often as every 15 minutes
  • Utilize byte-level differencing; change-log technology to only transfer updated content; throttling controls with connection re-try; compression; or offline replication options to optimize bandwidth consumption and available network resources
  • Utilize container creation, deletion synchronizations, and on-demand content renaming for comprehensive management of globally distributed content
  • Protect SharePoint content in the event of an accidental content, configuration, or security settings overwrite – similar to an undo function, roll back altered content to its original state
  • Configure up to five concurrent threads to optimize efficiency with parallel replication of content across geographically dispersed locations
